A strong storm system will move through the eastern U.S. Wednesday, but will fortunately exit the U.S. just in-time for Thanksgiving! Most of the U.S. will be free of any major weather system on Turkey day.
Snow showers are possible in the Great Lakes region, extending into the north portions of the state of New York on Thanksgiving, but this isn't expected to be a significant snow event.
The weather will be sunny and dry in Atlanta on Thanksgiving with no major storm systems impacting North Georgia.
Most of the country will be very cold on Thanksgiving Day, including Atlanta. Some of the coldest temperatures of the season can be expected in Atlanta Thursday morning with wind chills in the single-digits to teens across North Georgia.
Highs are only expected to reach into the 40s Thursday afternoon in Atlanta.
