Tropical Depression Gabrielle has dissipated.
The tropical system was downgraded to a tropical depression Thursday morning, less than 24 hours after forming.
Gabrielle developed in the Caribbean sea Wednesday evening and moved northwestward toward land.
Gabrielle was the seventh-named storm of the 2013 hurricane season, which is forecast to be above average. So far, no hurricanes have developed.
The peak of the Atlantic tropical season is September 10th. Hurricane season ends on November 30th.
