Marietta police officers are searching for a suspect who allegedly struck an officer's patrol car and drove off.
The incident happened on Friday around 4 a.m. while a Marietta officer was on patrol on North Marietta Parkway at Church Street.
The officer said the driver ran a red light and was struck his patrol car.
The patrol car was extensively damaged, according to reports. The officer was not injured.
The suspect's vehicle was described as a silver Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee with tinted windows.
He was last seen north bound on Kennesaw Avenue.
