Hawks cheerleader injured during game

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A CBS Atlanta News photographer witnessed the injury of a Hawks cheerleader at Monday night's game.

The cheerleader, whose name wasn't released, slipped and hit the back of her head and neck during a dance routine after the third quarter as the Hawks hosted the Dallas Mavericks.

The cheerleader was taken from the court on a stretcher and treated at Atlanta Medical Center.

Team officials said she never lost consciousness and was released from the hospital late Monday night after an examination.
