HALL COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Officers arrested a man in Hall County who was caught assuming the identity of another man for nearly 10 years.
Agents with Hall County's Multi Agency Narcotics Squad arrested Hugo Longoria-Cardoza without incident in the 300 block of Cronic Drive Thursday. His arrest came after investigators had received information that Longoria-Cardoza had assumed the identity of person who lived in another state.
Longoria-Cardoza was found with a Georgia driver's license which had his picture, but the name and date of birth of the victim. Investigators also recovered a fraudulent birth certificate and social security card bearing the victim's indentification.
Longoria-Cardoza was charged with identity theft and first degree forgery. He was booked into the Hall County Jail where an immigration hold was placed on him.
