An estimated 80,000 people are expected in downtown Atlanta on Saturday for the annual St. Patrick's Parade.
The event features one of the world's largest Irish walking flags. There are also floats, marching bands, and more than 2,000 dancers and musicians.
The festivities were scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. with a pre-parade performance by local Irish Dance Groups and vocalist Reed Ferguson on Peachtree Street at John Portman Boulevard.
The parade itself was scheduled to begin at noon at Peachtree Street and Ivan Allen Boulevard. It will then travel down Peachtree to Marietta Street.
