DECATUR, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Neighbors in the Chelsea Heights area of Decatur are teaming up with police to catch crooks.
The group met at Westchester School Wednesday night to discuss a recent rash of crimes.
"There have been some car break-ins, primarily, some burglaries as well, and it seems to have escalated in the last eight months or so," says Decatur resident Reid Columbia.
The Decatur Police Department was also at the meeting, providing information about the recent crimes to educate the community and alleviate some fears.
