Milton police said Christopher Walker, 19, was killed in the driveway of his home off Silhouette Court in Milton during what they believe was a random armed robbery.
Walker was shot at least once in the head and died a short time later at the hospital.
"My brother was my best friend," Benjamin Walker said.
Fighting back tears, Benjamin Walker said his brother's death was a "senseless act of violence by someone with no respect to human life and you know who doesn't think past the consequences of their actions."
Christopher Walker was a full-time student at Georgia Perimeter College and worked at Sears, according to his family. Christopher Walker had just been accepted to finish his degree in Marketing at Kennesaw State University.
"We want to get the word out about what kind of person he was," Benjamin Walker said. "It was a real shame what happened, but people need to know the kind of individual he was. He was caring, hilarious, he always had a smile on his face."
Milton police collected evidence at the scene and are following up on witness statements.
Christopher Walker would have turned 20 years old in May. Benjamin Walker said his brother loved music and was a lyricist.
"The best word I could use to describe him is gregarious," Benjamin Walker said. "Chris is the kind of guy that wouldn't want us to give up and roll over because he is not here anymore."
