Woman involved in Fulton County accident killed after leaving car

FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

One person is dead after a crash on Camp Creek at Welcome All Road in Fulton County.

Around 7 a.m. Monday, a car was attempting to make a left turn onto Welcome All Road when the driver struck another vehicle, pushing that vehicle into the woodline.

The driver that hit the vehicle got out of her car and was going to check on the other driver when she was struck and killed by an oncoming BMW.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Toni Willis, 52, of Decatur.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit was taken to a nearby hospital.

The BMW driver remained at the scene.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
