WINDER, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Officers with the Winder Police Department arrested Scott Dujvan Hazel, 25, of Monroe, on Friday, charging him with one count of armed robbery. Hazel was charged in connection with the armed robbery of Best Package Store on Jan. 19, 2013 in Winder, GA.
After the robbery, Winder police circulated still photos from the surveillance video. They then received information from the public identifying the photos as Hazel.
Hazel was charged after a six-week investigation by detectives of the Winder Police Department. Detectives from the Winder Police Department, with assistance from officers with the Monroe Police Department, executed a search warrant at Hazel's home and seized several items of evidence.
Hazel was found at a job site nearby and taken into custody at the Suwanee Police Department to be interviewed.
He was transported to the Barrow County Detention Center after his arrest.
