DOUGLASVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
An advertisement for Crown Royal Maple Finished Whisky was placed below a Douglasville Public Health billboard discouraging underage drinking.
Some people questioned the placement of the billboard.
Douglas County spokesperson, Wes Tallon, contacted CBS Atlanta about the ad placement. In his email, Tallon stated:
"It is disturbing and alarming that the alcohol company may have chosen this location because they knew it would cause conversation and in turn attract more attention to their billboard. It is a blatant in-your-face challenge to the Live Healthy Douglas campaign."
The billboards are on Hospital Drive adjacent to Kroger in Douglasville.
