SANDY SPRINGS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Sandy Springs police and Georgia State Patrol troopers are searching for a man who fled Georgia State Capitol Police.
GSP units attempted to stop a man on a motorcycle for an improper turn around 1:40 p.m.
Police said the man led police on a chase from Forsyth and Marietta streets downtown, ending at I-285 at New Northside Drive.
The man collided into two patrol cars, jumped off the motorcycle on I-285 and ran from police.
A perimeter was set up and units, including air and K-9 attempted to locate the man.
Police stopped the active search, but the man was not found.
