ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Georgia ranks in the top 10 for the highest sexually transmitted disease rates in the country, according to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The state is fourth in syphilis, seventh for gonorrhea, and eighth for chlamydia.
Experts said the high rates are due to a lack of education and funding for safe sex programs.
