ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A Learjet with eight people aboard landed safely at a St. Louis airport after reporting problems with their landing gear.
The plane landed at Lambert - St. Louis International Airport, about 10 miles northwest of downtown St. Louis.
The plane originally attempted to land at St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Ill.
Cahokia is 5 miles south of St. Louis.
Fire trucks, ambulances and emergency crews were poised on the airport tarmac in case of an emergency.
