SNELLVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A fire at a home in Snellville has displaced a family of eight Saturday. Gwinnett County firefighters responded to the burning home in the 1800 block of Commons View Circle around 8:15 p.m.
Fire crews found smoke coming from the left side of the one-story home. After knocking down the flames, firefighters completed two searches of the home. The basement level had moderate to heavy fire damage, and the first floor had smoke damage throughout.
No one was home at the time of the fire. The Red Cross will assist the family. There were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
