Georgia Department of Labor employee accused of child molestation

OCONEE COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A Georgia Department of Labor employee was arrested for child molestation, according to Oconee County Sheriff Scott Berry.

John David Cooper, 44, is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile over a period of several years.

Cooper was charged with 34 counts of sexual exploitation of children.

Police said more charges may be forthcoming.

Cooper was arrested on Thursday when an Oconee County Deputy spotted his car and stopped him.
