ATLANTA (AP) -
The Georgia Attorney General's office says a former state department of public health employee is being indicted for lying on her job application.
Attorney general spokeswoman Lauren Kane says Donna Alexander, a former state human resources director, claimed she earned three degrees from Florida International University, held three prior positions as a human resources director and was a certified human resources senior professional.
Kane says an internal investigation revealed all the claims were lies, and Alexander was fired in December 2012.
A seven-count indictment charges Alexander with making false statements. Each count carries a maximum five-year prison sentence and a fine of $1,000.
It is unclear if Alexander has an attorney.
