DeKalb County officer injured in I-20 accident

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

I-20 westbound was shut down just east of Candler Road in DeKalb County Tuesday morning after an officer involved accident.

Shortly before 6 a.m., the officer was responding to a multi-car accident.

While en route, the officer lost control of her car while attempting to avoid a car that suddenly stopped ahead of her.

The officer collided with at least one other vehicle.

The officer sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she is expected to be released.

No one else was injured.
