DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police have charged a man with murder and aggravated assault after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and father inside their home in Stone Mountain.

DeKalb County police went to a home in the 1000 block of Mannbrook Drive after someone called 911.

Officers found two victims inside the home suffering from stab wounds.

Officers said the two victims, Rodney Eugene Smith Sr., 58, and Michelle Teresa White, 34, were unresponsive.

A third victim, Loraine Smith, 58, suffered minor cuts and was taken to an area hospital.

Investigators discovered an argument started when Rodney Eugene Smith Jr., 35, attacked White, who is his girlfriend, with a knife.

After attacking White he then attacked and killed his father, according to police.

During the attack his mother was also injured.

There were two children in the home during the incident. They were not physically harmed, but officers took them into protective custody.
