BARTOW COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Bartow County deputies are investigating a fatal shooting at Barnsley Garden Resort.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, someone reported a woman had been shot at the resort just before 2:30 a.m.
Deputies said that a man who shot her fled into nearby woods and refused to come out.
A Georgia State Patrol and a GSP helicopter to attempt to locate him.
Authorities found the man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
