Police shut down illegal, unlicensed Ga. daycare - CBS Atlanta 46

Policesay state officials have taken over an investigation into an illegal unlicensedday care center.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan PoliceWednesday said the Department of Early Childcare and Learning launched aninvestigation into the daycare and alerted police.
Officials say the daycarehas operated under two names -- the George Town Child Care Center and theGeorge Town Fitness Center.
Officers visited to serve a cease and desistorder Tuesday and found a woman and a 14-year-old girl caring for 11 children.Police say when they arrived, the woman locked the front door and left thedaycare.
Police say two women who have already beencharged in the case were in court Tuesday morning and have been sentenced to 10days in jail for violating the court order.
