Winter Weather Advisory for NE Georgia
Rain and Freezing Rain Expected in NE GeorgiaATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A weather system brought showers to north Georgia overnight through Tuesday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Rabun county in far northeast Georgia from midnight until 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will be cold enough for a mix of rain and freezing rain in the northeast Georgia mountains on Tuesday morning.
Freezing rain is rain that freezes on contact with the roads, creating potential slick spots.
No winter weather is expected in Atlanta.
Showers should move into Atlanta and last through noon.
