POTUS to give commencement speech at local college

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A local college will welcome the United States commander in chief this spring for a very special speech.

Morehouse College President John Silvanus Wilson, Jr., made a surprise announcement at the college's A Candle in the Dark Gala Saturday night.

Wilson announced that President Barack Obama will give the school's Spring Commencement speech according to Elise Durham with Morehouse College.

Morehouse College is a private historically black liberal arts college for men. It was founded in 1867. Its Spring Commencement is May 19.
