ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Investigators said a man misusing a stove likely caused a fire at the Stone Park Presidential Apartments on Friday.
Firefighters said when they arrived at the complex off of North Camp Creek Parkway in Atlanta one building was fully engulfed in flames.
Crews said it took an hour to contain the fire, but they were able to keep it from spreading to the nearby buildings. The building was destroyed and according to firefighters, 14 families were displaced.
The Red Cross was assisting some of the affected families. Firefighters said no one was injured.
On Friday, officers were trying to determine if the man was using the stove to dry his clothes, light a cigarette or cook.
