Clayton County man arrested on rape charges

CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A Jonesboro man has been arrested on charges of rape after police say he robbed and raped women over a two-month span.

Aamirr Philpot, 23, was arrested by Clayton County police on Thursday and charged with rape, false imprisonment and aggravated sodomy.

Police said Philpot lured his victims via social media. Once the victims agreed to meet with Philpot, he would rob and rape them at gunpoint.

According to police, Philpot did this over a two month span.

Philpot was booked into the Clayton County Jail.
