ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
An Atlanta radio station and some elementary school children joined together in a campaign to put smiles on the faces of kids who will spend Valentine's Day in the hospital.
Star 94's morning show asked students to send in Valentine's Day cards to be distributed to kids at three children's hospitals.
The hospitals included Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Children's at Hughes Spalding.
On Thursday, Star 94's Cyndy Simmons and Jimmy Alexander delivered balloons and Hershey's Kisses to kids at Scottish Rite.
One of the recipients was Nathan Baar, who's recovering from a ruptured appendix.
"I liked having people come in and give me stuff and they were really nice," Baar said.
Valentines will also be brought to the two other Children's hospitals.
