DeKalb public safety director announces retirement

DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

DeKalb Public Safety Director William Miller announced he will retire Feb. 28, 2013. 

Miller has had a 29-year career in DeKalb County. He started as a DeKalb Police Department patrolman.

"Mr. Miller has been outstanding in leading DeKalb County's public safety efforts, and we appreciate his service to the county," said DeKalb CEO Burrell Ellis. "We wish him the very best in his retirement."
