Pedestrian struck and killed by train

MARIETTA, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Saturday around 5 p.m.

The pedestrian was hit by the train northwest of the intersection between Church Street Extension which becomes Bells Ferry Road and Old Highway 41.

The victim's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
