Sandy Springs doctor indicted on child molestation charge

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A Fulton County Grand Jury has indicted a Sandy Springs doctor on sexual battery and aggravated sexual battery charges.

Court documents stated Dr. Kelly Thrasher was charged for molesting a juvenile girl during a sleepover at his house.

Thrasher was arrested on Jan. 24 after his release from the Ridgeview Medical Center.

Police said he entered himself after detectives initiated a criminal investigation into the molestation complaint.

Thrasher is also charged in a November incident where he is accused of sexually assaulting a 38-year-old woman at his house in Sandy Springs.

A court date on the indicted charges has not been set. Thrasher is currently free on $50,000 bond.
