Fatal pedestrian accident on Cobb Parkway north of Allgood Road

COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Marietta police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that happened on Cobb Parkway just north of Allgood Road on Monday.

Investigators said Diane Sherman, 56, was driving south bound on Cobb Parkway just north of Allgood Road when her vehicle struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway outside of a cross walk.

The pedestrian was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he later died.

There were no other injuries and no charges are expected.
