Aerials of the house fire
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
No one was injured when a two-story house caught fire in the 5200 block of Stafford Drive in the Lilburn area on Friday morning shortly before noon.
When Gwinnett County firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the house.
Crews had to put out the fire from the outside of the house due to high heat and fire conditions.
An electrical line to the home collapsed and was arcing on the right side of the house onto the wooden fence and across the driveway, which caused an electrical hazard to crews working.
Firefighters said the house is a total loss. It is unknown if the home is vacant or where the resident is.
No injuries were reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
