Gwinnett County fire investigators are looking into what they call a suspicious fire.
It happened Thursday afternoon in the 4200 block of Peace Rose Place.
Investigators say someone called 911, claiming a group of people broke into their home and then set it on fire.
A home next door received some minor damage, and no one was hurt in the incident.
No arrests have been made and police are searching for the suspects.
Firefighters faced some challenges putting out the blaze.
"Because of the conditions, including wind and also the high heat conditions ... they had to go back outside, put up the ladder truck and extinguish it with the ladder truck," said Lt. Colin Rhoden with the Gwinnett County Fire Department.
Neighbors said it's not the first time there has been trouble at the house.
"Tuesday police were over there because they had a break-in. There were a couple of police over here during the afternoon," said Jasmine Blackley, who lives down the street.
"Two things in one week. It makes us concerned because if there is someone out there setting houses on fire they are across the street from me," said Veronica Swann, who lives nearby.
