Police search for missing Conyers 16-year-old

CONYERS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Police are searching for a 16-year-old girl who ran away from her Conyers home.

Sharmine Hight left her guardian's home without permission just after 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 22.

Police said her guardian believes she is in danger because Sharmine is mentally challenged.

She was last seen wearing a blue Hollister sweater, blue jeans and sneakers.

The only items missing from her bedroom were an iPod and a brown purse, according to police.
