The Georgia Department of Transportation has started reporting icy conditions in North Georgia counties.
GDOT is asking motorists to use extreme caution when driving, especially when driving over bridges and overpasses.
Gainesville police said they are working numerous accidents across the city along bridges and overpasses.
Here are the reported roads with icy patches:

GDOT told CBS Atlanta News on Thursday that its crews are prepared for any inclement weather metro Atlanta may see.
GDOT has a new salt and brine mix that it is prepared to use on roads if necessary.
In the Atlanta metro area, GDOT will have skeleton crews on standby.
GDOT is advising motorists to:
Slow down and stay behind the spreading equipment. The road behind the truck will be the safest place to drive. Allow at least 10 car lengths between your vehicle and hopper spreaders.
Be particularly aware of black ice conditions on surfaces such as bridge decks and entrance and exit ramps.
Remember that technology helps, but only to a point. Four-wheel drive, anti-lock brakes and traction control are beneficial advancements in today's vehicles, but do not take the place of good driving habits and the need to reduce speed on icy roads.
"Icing is often difficult to detect and can refreeze within minutes after it is treated," said Georgia DOT Commissioner Keith Golden. "The Department will do all within its power to clear roadways as quickly as possible. If you can, postpone leaving until after daybreak. That will give the Sun an opportunity to assist in melting the ice and will provide you much better visibility of any possible trouble spots."
Because of the icy conditions, many North Georgia schools closed on Friday.
The Hall County Courthouse also closed due to the inclement weather.
