GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Investigators now know the cause of a fire that destroyed Dreamland BBQ in Gwinnett County.
The blaze happened on Jan. 16, 2013.
It started because of a neon sign transformer in the attic space, according to experts. The transformer was used by Dreamland BBQ, but was left by the previous tenants of the building.
Officials said it caused an electrical arcing condition in the attic, which resulted in ignition.
The roof burned then collapsed into the structure causing damage to the interior.
No one was injured.
