COLLEGE PARK, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
City Council members in College Park approve a gun buyback event.
The program will take place in February. The College Park Police Department will host it.
On Tuesday night, the council approved $20,000 dollars to go towards the program. City leaders say it's good for gun owners who want to properly dispose of their guns and it's a good tool for public safety.
The event will be held Feb. 9 from 9am to 5pm.
