SANDY SPRINGS, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A serious accident has shut down the eastbound lanes of Johnson Ferry Road at Riverside Drive in Sandy Springs, police said.
The accident happened Sunday evening and sent three people the hospital, according to Sandy Springs police Lt. Steve Rose.
Officers were diverting traffic off of Johnson Ferry Road inbound from Cobb County onto Riverside Drive. The eastbound lanes were expected to be shut down for one to two hours, Rose said.
The westbound lanes of Johnson Ferry Road into Cobb County were still open.
The conditions of the victims were unknown. Police also did not release the cause of the accident.
