Former NFL players to get health screenings

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

As the Atlanta Falcons prepare for Sunday's playoff game, there remains a lot of debate about lingering health issues affecting football players.

In response, the Morehouse School of Medicine plans to provide comprehensive medical screenings to 70 former NFL players Saturday.

It's part of a nationwide Healthy Body and Mind Cardiovascular and Prostrate Health Research Awareness Program sponsored by the NFL Player Care Foundation.

Test performed include screenings for the heart and prostate.
