CLAYTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Lovejoy middle and high schools in Clayton County were on lock down Tuesday as police searched for an escaped inmate.
Warden Smith of Clayton Correctional Institute said the trustee, Steven Gregory Bone, 50, was on work detail when he escaped near Lovejoy Road in Hampton.
They were cleaning up the Gerald Matthews Park on McDonough Road near Tara Blvd.
The inmate had been at facility since Aug. 2010.
He was found about a mile away behind Talmadge Properties along Tara Boulevard sitting on a stump.
He was captured and was taken into custody without incident.
