Fulton County police working grisly death investigation

FULTON COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The Fulton County Police say a man suffered a grisly death this morning, but it does not appear to be homicide, just a tragic accident.

Police responded to a body found call in the 4100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive where they found a man who had been impaled by an iron spike which topped a fence.

Sgt. Scott McBride says it appears the man was attempting to climb the fence and slipped. McBride says they won't know for sure until an autopsy is performed.
