Man, 21, shot along Carlton Road in Palmetto

PALMETTO, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

The Palmetto Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred Monday in the 600 block of Carlton Road.

Officers found a 21-year-old man with a bullet wound to the back.

The victim said he was approached by a young man and was shot.

Witnesses heard between four to five gun shots.

The victim was taken to Grady Hospital.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is now assisting in the investigation.
