MABLETON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Cobb County police are investigating a collision on Floyd Road at White Boulevard in Mableton, GA.
Authorities say at around 3 a.m. Sunday, a pedestrian walking east on Floyd Road was struck by a maroon 2004 Honda Accord traveling southbound on Floyd Road.
The pedestrian, John W. Kelly, 29, of Mableton was not in a crosswalk that the time of the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda has been identified as Jason C. Bentley, 30, of Atlanta. He is not expected to be charged.
