DECATUR, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A 29-year-old was arrested for child sex trafficking after a Georgia State Patrol trooper stopped a speeding car on Interstate 20 in Taliaferro County.
Police said Johnathon Nathaniel Kelly was driving with a 17-year-old girl from Alabama.
The deputy thought the teen was possibly being held against her will.
The Green County Sheriff's Office then requested assistance from the GBI's Child Sex Trafficking Section.
After an investigation, it was determined the teen was a victim of child sex trafficking.
Kelly was charged with one count of trafficking of persons for sexual servitude.
The investigation also revealed that the girl had been sold for sex in four different states since age 12.
Kelly is facing additional charges by the Georgia State Patrol for driving while under the influence of narcotics, possession of marijuana and speeding.
