Police investigate fatal crash in Dalton

DALTON, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Dalton police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Wednesday morning on Chattanooga Road in front of the Guest Inn.

Charles Beckett, 81, and Donna Beckett, 73, died in the crash. They were from Florence, KY.

Police said Charles Beckett pulled out of the Guest Inn parking lot into the path of a Dodge Ram truck towing a boat.

Joseph Purcell, 68, was driving the truck headed north on Chattanooga Road. He was not charged in the accident.
