ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Some people who live in Bankhead rallied Tuesday night to stop their bank from closing.
They packed Word of God Ministries on Donald Hollowell Parkway to stop the Bank of America from shutting down.
They say this will leave the neighborhood with a number of payday lenders and check cashing services, but no reputable lender.
Atlanta City Council Member Felicia Moore and State Senator Vincent Fort joined the fight.
The branch is slated to close in March.
