CARTERSVILLE, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Officers in Bartow County arrested four people after following a lead that someone sold a stolen gun on Craigslist.
A Cartersville man said he purchased a gun on Craigslist. He contacted law enforcement to check out the gun and officers found out the gun was stolen in Bartow County. The man then told officers the Craigslist seller said he had an AR-15.
Officers conducted a sting operation and found stolen firearms and meth. The two guns were stolen in a local burglary.
Four people were arrested, and more arrests are expected, according to officers.
Michael Stafford, 30, and Jason Tijerina, 30, both face numerous charges including theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Tira Scrivani, 22, and Curtis Everett, 31, are both charged with possession of methamphetamine.
They are being held in the Bartow County Jail.
