MERIWETHER COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
The Georgia State Patrol said a father was killed and eight others were injured after a crash along I-85 in Meriwether County.
Investigators said the crash happened on Thursday.
Victor Allen Moorer, 30, was headed northbound on I-85 near Sewell Road when his car left the roadway and overturned into a wooded area, according to police.
Moorer died after the driver's side of the car struck a tree.
Moorer's wife and seven children were injured in the accident.
Chase Moorer, 3, and 11-year-old Shania Moorer were flown to the hospital.
The other children are ages 10, 9, 7 and 5 years old, as well as a 9-month-old.
Moorer's wife and children have been released from the hospital.
