Police have arrested a man and charged him with murder in the death of another man in northwest Atlanta.
Johnny Farrington, 29, was arrested by the fugitive unit on Thursday and taken to the Fulton County jail.
On the afternoon of Jan. 2, Atlanta officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 800 block of Rock Street Northwest, according to police.
That's where they found a car that had crashed into a sidewalk and was seriously damaged. Inside the car, they found the driver shot to death, and a female passenger who had been injured in the accident.
The passenger was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with back injuries.
The name of the driver was not released.
