STONE MOUNTAIN, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
A candlelight vigil was held Sunday for three members of a Stone Mountain family killed in an accident on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The vigil took place at 6:30 p.m. at Stephenson Middle School in Stone Mountain.
On Thursday morning, Dec. 27, a tractor-trailer rear-ended a Toyota Camry driven by 51-year-old Ainsworth Mallett. Mallet, his wife, 49-year-old Jacqueline Mallett and their 12-year-old son Drew were all pronounced dead at the scene. The couple's 18-year-old daughter survived with minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
A public viewing for the family will be held at Gregory & Sons Funeral Home in Decatur on Friday, Jan. 4 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A funeral will take place Saturday, Jan. 5 at Tabernacle Assembly of God in Decatur at 11 a.m.
