One lane still closed after tractor trailer fire shuts down I-75

SPALDING COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

An overnight wreck involving two tractor trailers resulted in a fiery scene that shut down all lanes of I-75 north at mile marker 208 in Spalding County.

GDOT is still on the scene with one lane still closed.

Police told CBS Atlanta News one person was injured in the crash, reported just after 3 a.m. Thursday.

Police said both trucks were traveling northbound with one truck in the center lane merging right to try and reach the emergency lane.

A truck approaching in the right lane hit the slower moving truck in the rear. The force caused both vehicles to catch fire.

No word if any charges will be filed against the drivers.
